Who are we?

The Providence Firefighter Safety & Survival Conference is organized by the Providence Fire Department Safety & Survival Foundation, Inc., a private, non-profit charitable corporation, recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) organization.

Over the past eleven years the Providence Fire Department Safety and Survival Foundation, Inc. has consistently  been able to present the nation's leading experts in the fire service at Providence College for our area's firefighters. These are the same experts and presentations that are offered at national conferences costing much more to attend.

Through the efforts of this committee and with the support of the Providence Fire Department, Providence College and Providence Firefighters Local 799; the Providence Fire Department Safety and Survival Foundation, Inc. is able to present more training programs with better training aids than ever before.

In addition, in the fall of 2001, we provided training programs that go beyond our traditional Safety Conference format. In conjunction with the Rhode Island Fire Academy, we held two - one week heavy rescue programs aimed at preparing firefighters to respond to structural collapses and terrorist related problems. We intend to provide more such training in the future.

With your continued support we hope to build on our commitment for highly trained firefighters and safe fireground operations.
